Join Donal at 13.00 at Clotworthy House on Sunday afternoon’s for a gentle dander through the beautiful Castle Gardens and historic town centre of Antrim.
Over the 1.45 hours of gentle walking you will learn about the origins of the town and hear stories of the founding family the Clotworthy/Masereene’s and see the house (Pogues Entry) where Alexander Irvine grew up. You will also walk in the footprints of the 1798 United Irishmen and hear how the famous ‘Battle of Antrim’ unfolded.
