Irish Garden Plant Society presents the Autumn Lecture

Shady Plants and Shady Places

By Maurice Parkinson

Maurice Parkinson has extensive experience in horticulture from Edinburgh Botanical Gardens to being Director of Parks at Belfast City Council, and, latterly, creator and owner of Ballyrobert Gardens, a uniquely designed Ulster Garden rated by the Guardian as being one of the top ten secret gardens in the UK. He has been designing gardens and landscapes for many years and is a regular contributor to radio and TV.

For this talk he will focus on shady areas, which, while often the forgotten areas of a garden, can present endless opportunities to come alive and thrive with a little expert guidance. So come along and prepare to be amazed at the breadth and beauty of what is possible!
