Antrim Town Historical Walking Tour

The 1.45 Hr walking tour begins in the beautiful Antrim Castle Gardens at the historic Lady Marions hound statue then proceeds through the Clotworthy House Courtyard across the Deerpark Bridge over the Six Mile River past the Antrim Forum and into Antrim Town Centre.

Its then up to Pogues Entry, All Saints Anglican Church, then down to Market Square through the Barbican Gate past the site of the old Antrim Castle to finish again at Clotworthy House.

The content of the tour includes the Elizabethan origins of the town, the rise and fall of local aristocracy the Clotworty/Massereene's, fascinating stories of the Antrim Forum's 'Rock' past, see Pogues Entry the former home of Antrims famous son Alexander Irvine and walk in the footsteps of the United Irishmen of 1798 and learn of their historic battle on the streets of the town.

We use a state of the art personal radio system for tour group numbers under 14 to ensure every fact and story is heard, participants must be able to walk for up to 2 hours over flat ground.

The tour is wheelchair/mobility scooter friendly, and dog friendly (all dogs to be kept on leads and owners must clean up after dog's as required  by local by laws)
